Job ID 50-0060 Sr. System Engineer - Systems Validation Group

Position Description:

In this position you will develop embedded solutions for Customer applications designs, bringing up new silicon, and engineering development.  Fixtures encompass PCBs, automated testing code (LabVIEW), and system control (Firmware).  Ideal candidate will have the ability to derive the design requirements, implement and lead the design process, generate the validation process, and manage the release of the design.

Required Skills:

• Strong ability to identify system requirements and resolve testing requirements with development engineers
• Strong ability to debug system level issues
• Experience with analog and digital board design practices
• Experience with instrumentation board level design practices
• Experience in Hardware board level design and design for manufacturability practices.
• Experience with wide variety of testing instrumentation and GPIB control
• Previous experience with bringing up 1st generation silicon.
• Can-do attitude with a overall perspective on development process
• BSEE minimum

• Design experience with power management of embedded systems
• Firmware design experience for embedded systems
• LabVIEW / LabWindows design experience
• Xilinx Design and Verilog coding skills
• Familiarity with ASIC development process
• PDA hardware architecture
• Digital Still Camera hardware and software
